Typical cost range
Estate cleanouts are priced by volume. A partially furnished condo may land around a medium or large load ($275–$475+). A full house with a packed garage often takes multiple full loads ($700+ each). A walkthrough gives you a real number.
Before the crew arrives
- Remove or mark everything family members want to keep
- Search for documents: wills, deeds, titles, tax records, photos
- Decide on an estate sale or donation first, if you want one
- Collect keys, garage openers and gate codes
- Set aside paint, chemicals and propane for proper disposal
If you live out of state
We can work through a realtor or neighbor for access, confirm pricing by phone, and send photos as rooms are cleared.
Before the crew arrives
- Remove documents, photos, jewelry and anything the family wants to keep
- Mark rooms or items that stay with a simple sign or tape
- Decide who has final say on site if questions come up
- Let us know about attics, sheds and detached garages so they're included in the estimate
Working with an executor or realtor
Estate cleanouts often run on a listing or closing deadline. If the person paying isn't the person on site, say so when booking so the price can be confirmed with the right person before loading begins.
Questions we hear
Can an estate cleanout happen in phases?+
Yes. Some families clear the main house first and the garage or storage later. Each visit is priced by the space used.
Do I need to be present?+
Someone who can approve the price needs to be reachable when the crew arrives. Access details can be arranged ahead of time.
