By XB Junk Solutions LLC · Irving, Texas
Quick answer
The City of Irving collects up to four bulky household items a week on your regular trash day. It does not take construction or demolition debris, fences, tires, rock, or items from a general cleanup of a property. Anything beyond that is a job for a landfill run, a city roll-off, or a junk removal crew.
What city bulky pickup takes
- Up to four bulky items per week
- Household items that move easily around the house — a sofa, chair, table, lamp or mattress
- Items placed at the curb clear of parked cars, overhead lines, mailboxes and fire hydrants
What it won't take curbside
- Construction and demolition debris, and fences
- Rock, tires and scrap building material
- Items from a general cleanup of a vacant or occupied property
- Brush from work done by a paid service provider
When a junk removal crew makes more sense
- More than four items, or a whole room, garage or estate
- Items that are upstairs, in an attic or too heavy to drag to the curb
- Remodel debris the city won't collect
- Move-out or listing deadlines that can't wait for the next collection day
- Offices and commercial properties, which aren't covered by residential bulky pickup
What we can't take either
Paint, chemicals, fuels, asbestos and other regulated materials aren't part of standard disposal. Tell us about anything unusual when you text photos and we'll say up front whether it can go.
