Build a quick inventory
Count desks, chairs, filing cabinets, tables and anything unusual (glass conference tops, safes, large reception desks). Note which floor and how big the elevator is.
Questions for your property manager
- Is there a freight elevator, and how is it reserved?
- Where can a box truck load, and when?
- Are after-hours moves required?
- Is a certificate of insurance required?
Photos beat descriptions
Wide shots of each room, plus close-ups of anything heavy, let us quote small suites without a visit.
Build a simple inventory
A spreadsheet with item type, approximate count and floor is enough: workstations, task chairs, conference tables, filing cabinets, lockers, breakroom appliances. An inventory lets a quote be written before anyone visits, and keeps everyone working from the same list on removal day.
Decide what stays first
Tag anything leaving with the new tenant, going to another office or being picked up by a furniture dealer before the crew arrives. Clear tags prevent the wrong items from going on the truck and shorten the job.
Ask the building about access
- Freight elevator reservation times and padding rules
- Loading dock hours and height limits
- Certificate of insurance requirements for vendors
- Whether work must happen outside tenant hours
Questions we hear
Do you take cubicles as well as loose furniture?+
Yes. Panel systems are disassembled, staged and hauled along with desks, chairs and files.
